How to trade on OTIS Example: I want to buy McDonald shares When I want to trade I like to have the site http://finance.yahoo.com/ also open, in addition to OTIS. This allows me to do three things 1. Find the trading symbol of the company (ticker) 2. Its current price 3. The price trend during this trading day So after my login to OTIS and selecting trade I get the following screen I know I want to buy McDonalds so to find its ticker I select Symbol Lookup and I type mcdonalds in the search for a company name field then I select search

Under Ticker I can see MCD so I press at the red box market x to close the search screen and I type MCD where it says Enter Symbol Then I open the Yahoo Finance site and I type again MCD where it says Get Quotes I select Mcdonalds from the drop menu. This gives me the following screen

I want to buy one hundred shares so for number of shares I enter 100 (it will cost me about 7,429 if it is executed plus 25 dollars commission). Then I select GTC to leave my order open for a maximum of 14 days. You have the option to cancel open (unexecuted orders) and I select preview order. I select place order It shows that I have successfully placed my order. At any point in time I can see my history by selecting history at the top of my screen I can see the ranking of my portfolio relative to other class members and the S&P 500 by selecting performance and then from the drop menu realtime rankings You can use analytics to download a variety of information about your portfolio.
