ISAB TISAB • TISAB=Total Ionic Strength Adjustment Buffer. • TISAB is marketed commercially under the trade name TISAB.10 It can be prepared by mixing (stirring) 57-mL of glacial acetic acid, 58 g of NaCl, g of cyclohexylaminedinitrilotetraacetic acid and 4 g of cyclohexylaminedinitrilotetraacetic acid, and 500-mL of distilled water in a 1-L beaker. Cool the ntents in a water or ice bath and carefully add 6 M contents in a water or ice bath, and carefully add 6 M NaOH to a pH of 5.0 to 5.5. Dilute to 1 L with deionzed water, and store in a plastic bottle. • Each group needs 250-mL of this solution. 11/10/2009 3
