Let’s investigate the relationship between the exponential distribution and the Poisson distribution. We have learned in class that the time between events in a Poisson process follows an exponential distribution, and the counts of events in a Poisson process follows a Poisson distribution. a. First, create a random vector of 100 numbers from an exponential distribution with mean 2 (i.e. ±²³ ´ µ · ´ ¸¹¹ º ¹¶ ´ »¼½¹¾¿À¹Á¿ÂÃÃ¿³¹ÄÀ¿Å±ÃÃÆ . Hint: use the function exprnd( Ç ,1,n) where Ç is the mean of the exponential distribution, and n is the size of the 1 x n vector of random draws you want. b.
