For the purpose of this assignment we will assume that the signal transduction pathway that leads to histamine secretion utilizes the G q member of the family of G proteins. (Note: In other words do not spend your time going through literature on signaling of mast cells. The present problem is posed only to test your knowledge of what was considered in this class.) Using cultures of mast cells, you conduct the following experiment. You distribute equal aliquots of the mast cell culture to eight separate culture dishes. You then add the components listed in the table below to the various culture dishes, incubate the cells for the appropriate time interval and measure the amount of histamine the cells have secreted into the culture medium. You can assume that no cell death or damage has occurred during the course of your experiment. For the purposes of this exercise you can also assume that each of the components you add
