Math 32B - Calculus of Several Variables Midterm #1 - Practice Problems Disclaimer :- The choice of problems was entirely my own. I have no knowledge of what will appear on the midterm, nor how the exam will be structured. These questions are designed to cover what I think are some of the important parts of the course so far, but I do not claim that they cover everything you may be asked in the midterm. Any mistakes are my own entirely. 1. A riverologist wishes to study the flow of water under a bridge. The river is 6 metres wide, and the depth of the river is measured at one-metre intervals from one bank to another. The measurements are made on an hourly basis from 1pm to 5pm. Given that the river flows at 4 km/hr, use the data below to estimate the volume of water that passed under the bridge from 2pm to 5pm.
