Clark, Ph.D. Lectures : MWF 12:20pm - 1:10pm My Oce : Boyd 502 Oce Hours : MWF 11:40am - 12:20pm, and by appointment Course text : Sequences and Series , by Malcolm Adams. Topics Covered : We will cover most or all of the text, which includes topics on sequences, series and applications to calculus. Course grade : 3 midterm exams, for a total of 50% homework, 20% final exam, 25% class participation: 5% The three midterm exams will be announced in class, at least ten days in ad- vance. You may expect the first midterm to occur after we cover the Chapter 1 material and the second midterm to occur after we cover the Chapter 2 material. The third exam will probably be on the penultimate week of class. The midterms will be cumulative , in the sense that you will always be responsi- ble for previously learned material. (Mathematics is almost inevitably cumulative)....
