STAT 4220 HW5 (45 points) Due on Tue, March 16 1. Look at the problem 1 of HW3. This is the CRD we discussed for estimating how the diets affect the coagulation rates of rabbits. The data are given on the K: drive. (a) (4 points) Use R to do the multiple comparisons at level α = 1%, that is, find the plot of 99% family-wise confidence level and see which of these intervals does not contain zero. > data1= read.table("data5.1.txt") > data1= as.matrix(data1) > y= as.vector(data1) > x = rep(1:4,each=4) > x = factor(x) > fm1 = aov(y~x) > fm1Tukey=TukeyHSD(fm1,"x",conf.level = 0.99) > plot(fm1Tukey) (b) (2 points) Compare this plot with what you have concluded in HW3. (c) (4 points) Get the plot for α = 5%. What is your conclusion? 2. The original girder experiment discussed in Unit 4 lecture notes studied 10 methods (instead of the four methods reported in Unit 4). The strength data appear in Table 1. Data are given on the K: drive as well. (a) (4 points) Analyze the data. Print the ANOVA table.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
