1 Association 3 4/18/2011 Regression Analysis Created to examine relationships between dependent and independent variables at the interval/ratio level. But, it is not limited to just that level. One basic assumption is linear relationships. Regression Analysis Provides us the strength, direction, and significance of relationships. Or, what is the effect of an independent variable on a dependent variable? Regression Analysis Regression analysis tries to find an equation (or line) that best fits the data.
