2 Bribery DB 2 When thinking of the word, Bribery, immediately, unethical business practice comes to mind. For many it is perceived as the distortion or convincing of buying or purchasing one’s loyalty toward a pacific purchase or agreed support. Authors Lawrence & Weber(2019) defines bribery as, “A questionable or unjust payment often to a government official to ensure or facilitate a business transaction” (Lawrence & Taylor, 2019), However, when discussing bribery, this act is not alone seen in government, but is frequently seen in corporations, small businesses, social clubs, and everyday practices when finances, legal concerns, and politics gains are prevalent. Most would agree that their very first introduction to bribery could have come from the persuasion of family or peer pressure. It was not seen as being illegal but left a stain of morally conviction of feeling this is not right to do. As we have grown older, we understand that
