1 ACCT 3110: External Financial Reporting 1 2011 Summer Session 1 Exam 1 Information Exam Date and Times: The first exam will be available through the class Connect Accounting website beginning Wednesday, May 25 at 6:00am and ending Wednesday, May 25 at 11:00pm. Time Limit: Students will have 75 minutes to complete the exam once the exam has been started until 11:00pm Wednesday, May 25. Reminders: 1. Giving and/or receiving information about the exam is an act of academic dishonesty. 2. The exam is an individual effort and not a group project. 3. No exam submissions will be accepted after the deadline. Exam Format: The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions that are worth 2 points each. The exam is open book and open notes. Exam Topics: Questions on the first exam over chapters 1 to 4 are based on the textbook learning objectives listed below. CHAPTER 1 Learning objective 2: Explain the differences between cash and accrual accounting. (3 questions) Learning objective 4: Explain why the establishment of accounting standards is characterized as a political process. (2 questions)
