Hinduism is one of the main religions practiced in Ancient India and emerged from early Indian religious traditions. Hinduism believed in the concept of reincarnations, which was the idea that the individual soul is reborn in a different form after death. A key element in this process was karma, the idea that one’s rebirth in a next life is determined by one’s actions in this life. Hinduism is concerned with a transcendental union between the individual soul and the Great World soul contrasted with practical desires for material wealth and happiness. Hinduism is compared to Buddhism both emphasize the illusory nature of the world and the role of karma in keeping men bound to this world and the cycle of births and deaths. They also believe transmigration of souls and the cycle of births and deaths for each soul. Buddhism and Hinduism emphasize compassion and non-violence towards all living beings and believe in the existence of gods or deities on different planes both originated and evolved on the Indian soil. The founder of Buddhism was a Hindu who became the Buddha . Buddhism is the greatest gift of India to mankind. 2. Argue in favor of this statement. "There is no real Greek Philosophy. In fact, European culture is a borrowed and stolen culture." People believe that European culture is a borrowed culture because during ancient times, it is believed that when the Europeans invaded Africa, the not only took the people but stole their culture and heritage. Philosophers also believe that in order for the Europeans to pass this culture off as theirs, they ruined some of the art and statutes that may have denoted the culture to be of African descent. This is what they book Stolen Legacy written by George G.M. James was based off of. It is believed that the greatest crime Europe committed against the world is the intellectual theft of Africa's heritage. Empires could be stolen, whole countries snatched and named after pirate’s rapists and swindlers. Palaces and monumental edifices destroyed could be rebuilding. But when you steal a people's cultural patrimony, and used it to enslaved and insult them, you have committed unforgivable acts that border on the sacrilege according to James. 3. Islam teaches that Jesus was another prophet. Muslims believe that Muhammad is the final messenger, superior to all previous prophets, the ultimate. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, which as the Jews accused of old, makes Him equal to God. Distinctions between Islam and Christianity from Judaism are Judaism is the oldest of the three,...
