EKIN 3200 Sports Administration II 4/19/10 Jake Sebastian Recruiting Local/Regional Mr. Joseph Morrone This article talks about how Randy Edsall returns back to UConn as the head coach after possibly taking another head coaching job. The main topic of this article is UConn’s football recruiting class of 2010. UConn was ranked last in the Big East in recruiting, unable to snag any of the top recruits from across the country. Leading the class are Mike Osiecki and Tebucky Jones Jr, both from the state of Connecticut and Osiecki being the 2008 Gatorade state player of the year. The bottom of the article shows the complete 2010 class, showing 8 players from the Northeast and the rest being from across the country as far as Cincinnati. Question – Do you think that UConn will have the same kind of success that it’s had recently with its program against other top school like Michigan with the last-ranked recruiting class in the Big East? And does that mean that Football in the Northeast is getting worse in terms of competition and the kinds of players coming out of it?
