They include 1) End poverty and hunger 2) Universal education 3) Gender equality 4) Child Health 5) Maternal Health 6) Combat AIDS/HIV 7) Environmental Sustainability 8) Global partnership The California SeaPlex Project is a project conducted by Scripps Institute of Oceanography to explore the North Pacific Ocean Gyre and how it is in danger from accumulated plastic trash as a result of human activity. The accumulated plastic threatens the rich ecosystem of the area. SEAPLEX is an ancronym that stands for (Scripps Environmental Accumulation of Plastic Expedition). The SeaPlex mission studies how much plastics are accumulating, how the plastics are distributed, and their effects on marine life.
