Ethnography Warm Up Dr. Sharyn Jones January 31, 2011 Shelby Leigh Smith 1. For my ethnography warm up project, the other is the patronage of David’s Bridal shop, specifically the new brides to be. 2. The main gender of the people I am watching is female. Their ages range from sixteen to thirty four, and their social classes are also diverse. It appears that the lower of the social classes come in during the earlier hours, and the upper-middle to high classes come after 1 PM on average. 3. What is going on is typically new soon to be brides looking for their dream-wedding gown. Most are seeing a specialist who is helping them to decide what it is that they are wanting. The brides bring in mostly female friends and family members, but every now and again one will bring in their fiancé. The relationships here seem tense and everyone is putting on a very happy face that seems to drop quickly if the bride does not get her way. There are however, a few exceptions to this rule. 4.
