REQUIREMENTS FOR SEMINARS (1) You must have a prepared agenda indicating what you are planning to do in the seminar and in what order. Group members’ responsibilities should be indicated. (2) You must give a brief overview or summary of each article or assigned chapter. The purpose of this overview is to remind the other students of the materials’ contents. (A brief summary means no more than 10 minutes in length.) You are not to “teach” what the text or the article says . (3) You must give an overall summary of readings and explain how your readings relate one to the other. As well you must highlight how your seminar relates to previous seminars. (4) You must have written questions concerned with the ideas of the assigned readings. (5) Handout and provide written answers for (or get the class to answer) three questions which you think would be suitable essay exam questions and five multiple-choice questions. These questions may be some of those you use directly in the seminar discussion. All these questions should be challenging and should be indicated as exam
