Smith 9-29-10 Professor Kennedy EH 102 Looking at the End, We Find A New Beginning The taking of ones own life is not exactly the best diner time conversation, but that doesn’t stop suicide from being a reality. Suicide is the number two cause of death among college students, so why is it that we do not deal with this fact head on? An even sadder fact is that for every one completed suiced, there are two more that were attempted. This means that if 100 students were to commit suicide there would be 200 more students that had made a serious attempt to do the same. Thankfully not everyone is blissfully unaware of the facts and organizations such as “To Write Love On Her Arms” are stepping up to make a difference. To Write Love On Her Arms- TWLOHA for short- is a not for profit organization devoted to helping teens and young adults overcome destructive behaviors and depression. The organization is based out of Florida, but has slowly reached out to encompass a following across the nation. TWLOHA is all about a message of hope to a
