Backhaus 1 Beau Backhaus Mr. Keller English 1001 Date 12/14/10 Dear Reader, For our Final English Portfolio we were told to pick one of our essays to do a revision on. Out of my four essays I choose the paper that was written poorly and received a bad grade on. For me this was essay number one titled, To Go To War. The main issues that were wrong with this essay was that my summary was not that well in depth and my ethos, pathos, and logos were not expanded and developed enough. Once a correction was made the highlighting tool was used so you can find the corrections with ease. To start off I changed the header section so that it is the correct MLA format way. As the reader reads through my essay he or she will find little sections that are highlighted. This was done just to spice the paper up and give it more substance. For example, in the second paragraph it is highlighted “for example Kraut for German or Gook for Asian; that is just there to give that sentence something more. In the third
