Beau Backhaus 2/28/2010 Ms. Bobbitt Short Write Four 1. The main points of this story were that four American hostages were killed by Somalia pirates. The U.S. Navy shadowed the hijacked vessel for a couple of days and tried to negotiate, but as soon as the Navy heard gunfire coming from the yacht Special Operations Teams broke into action. After killing two pirates and taking the other fifteen hostages they found four Americans dead. a. The title of this article does sum up the article very well. 2. Most of the information that was published came from direct word of mouth from the head U.S. Navy officials. Also the tactics that the pirates used to take care of the situation came from direct word of mouth from the pirates. a. Throughout this article most if not all of the information was backed up by direct word of mouth. b. There is no part of this article where the media had to make up some facts. 3.
