May 7, 2011 Dear Ms. Bobbitt: With my first year of college drawing to a close, I would never imagine college would be so much fun and so hectic at the same time. I am not going to say I am going to miss English, but I am very grateful that Marquette University ties this into our freshman year curriculum. After both English 1001 and 1002 I feel more confident about both my ability it write and to communicate in a more formal way. Along with my ability to communicate I have learned some useful things about myself. I have learned in this class as well as many others that just stopping at the bare minimum is not good enough at the college level. You have to go past that level and bring yourself to a whole new one by going through that extra revision or draft. As a writer though I have learned to break stories and problems down to the bare minimum, by doing this you can think critically about what you have to do and how you have to go about doing this. I mean I really do not like the whole thinking rhetorically concept but it is such a huge part of
