Backhaus1 Beau Backhaus Ms. Bobbitt English 1002 1/19/2011 As semester one drew to an end I started to really understand what it takes to write a high level college paper. In the beginning of the year all I had to go on to write my first paper was what I had learned in high school. When I received back my graded paper I realized that high school English class did not prepare me to write on the college level. As the first semester progressed I took what I was learning from class and put that knowledge toward my essays. In high school I barley tried so I thought I could get by in college by just paying attention in lectors. When my semester finished and I looked at my grades I realized they were not that good at all. That’s when I figured out that I have to do more than that. As of right now the most significant step for me would be taking what was taught in lecture and converting that into a way that I can understand it. Another huge step for me right now is that I am constantly working on
