Backhaus1 Beau Backhaus Ms. Bobbitt English 1002 1/25/2011 Out of all the ads in the world I came across this hunting Under Armor ad from the magazine Field and Stream. In this picture it shows one hunters quest in tracking down that perfect deer. Even though the background looks cold and baron the hunter has a very relaxed face throughout the event. To be relaxed in that type of environment you need to have a warm set of clothes, which Under Armor is trying to portray here. Another interesting object in this picture is that the hunter is using a bow. When you hunt with a bow you need to get close to the object you are shooting at which that means concealment. This is yet another thing the ad is trying to

Unformatted text preview: get across. When you look at this ad it makes you think that you need that clothing to get that edge on nature and to get that prized twenty point deer. This is the need to feel aggressive. Another object in this ad is that the hunter is wearing face paint which makes him appear more like a warrior. When you think of a warrior the word dominance comes to mind, thus the viewer feels like the need to dominate. There are also other odds and ends within this ad like the text and style of font, also the wording of the words. In the end when you look at this ad it makes you want to buy Under Armor.
