Date: April 26, 2011 To: Ms. Bobbitt From: Beau Backhaus Subject: Progress on Unit Four Paper With freshman year coming to an end and finals being right around the corner it is hard to start thinking about the two page proposal letter that is ahead of me. After I got short write two back it was pretty much back to square one for me. I do not know why but I am having trouble thinking of a solid topic to write about. That topic I wrote about for short write two took me several hours just to think of it. Then it was off to Easter Break where I could clear my head a bit. After Easter Break when I got back I finally came up with a pretty solid idea on what I am going to be doing for my unit four paper.

Unformatted text preview: In my high school we did not have our classes weighted at all; so I am going to propose to the school that our classes be weighted for several reasons. I feel that this is a much stronger topic than the elevator issue at Carpenter Tower; I was just hurting for a topic. Once I had my main idea I listed some of the major reasons why this topic is important and why the school should suggest doing this. I also have the envelope all ready to go Other than the envelope, my main idea, and the sub-ideas that back my proposal up I do not have anything laid out or typed. I will start my unit four rough draft at noon tomorrow and it will be finished by Friday at eight....
