Organizational Structure Two basic purposes: to divide work into manageable tasks and to co-ordinate the tasks to accomplish the overall objectives of the organization. 3 forms: functional, divisional and matrix

Types of Organizational  Structure Functional: organizations grouped by function-positions are grouped on the basis of particular skills or processes. Divisional: organized by the outputs the organization produces-products, markets or clients. Matrix: Combination of both functional and divisional.
