Health and Optimism Abstract I chose two different articles one covers optimism and health the other covers optimism and psychological health. I had to choose two different articles in order to cover both areas. The articles are very well written and cover a lot of information on the subject.

Health and Optimism The first article is on optimism and health. The article states “the concepts of optimism and pessimism concern people’s expectations for the future” (OPTIMISM, PESSIMISM, AND HEALTH . (2004). In  Encyclopedia of Health and  Behavior Management, Sage . Retrieved from  http://www.credoreference.com/entry/sageeohabm/optimism_pessimism_and_health ) this  is a very accurate statement, is a person looks at the world with a positive outlook good  things are going to happen and the main reason is because they are optimistic that good  things are going to happen. If a person looks at things negativly or is a pessimist then  things may not happen so well for them, not that good things will not happen but since the  person is not as optimistic that they will they may not. This article gives a little theoretical  background that the idea that behavior is aimed at attaining desired goals began with
