Wanting to improve yourself? Why not going back to school, now is as good as any time. We are pleased to announce that we have recently started a tuition reimbursement for any employee who is going to school and further their education in a business or communication area. Since this is a new program for us as a company we have wrote this so that we can discuss different reasons as to why you would want to take advantage of this opportunity. By getting a degree in the business or communication area could open up many different opportunities within the company for you once you hold the degree. Before we start taking about these opportunities we have to understand what exactly the degree is. “A degree program in Business Communications typically leads to an associate or bachelor’s degree and teaches students such skills as public speaking, written communications, communications software use, media interactions and interviewing” (Career Information for a Degree in Business Communications, 2010) A person with a business and/or communications degree will have a ton of opportunities over those who do not have one; this will also give this employee the ability to progress within the company. From the company aspect by opening this opportunity they will get experienced employees who know the business of the company along with increasing the retention rate of their employees. Madison (2009) said “overall employees are looking for career growth paths, fair compensation, and an accommodating pleasant work environment.” By having a degree opens up different progress, more money, and the chance to have more seniority in the work environment.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
