MNGT 5670 S1 2011 Mid Term Exam C. William Pollard, ServiceMaster Pollard focused on making his employees the best people. He considered it a moral responsibility to help employees and train them to insure they are the best at their jobs. William Pollard used his servant leadership to guide the company. He also believed that serving their employees and showing them care was important for a service based company. Timothy Cook, Apple Computer Inc. Tim Cook is obviously the man who gets things done. Cook’s ability to understand and foresee Job’s vision regardless of his temper and then convert ideas into actions and results helped the organization to stay on top. Wes Walsh Walsh’s effort to interact and get his boss comfortable saying yes on small matters set a precedent for a pattern of respect. He was able to generate respect by asking questions the leadership experience, and seek feedback. Also, he was able to get empathy from his boss, for example, the plant visit shows how much both have in common which is the growth of the organization.
