Types of courts:
-Dist rict courts – original ju risdiction – the first court you go to (they have final say when i t comes to
matters of fact)
-Circuit court of appeals – if you don’t get satisfaction in District court you go here, they have
appellate jurisdiction (matters of wri t of certiorari) – 4 justices of the supreme court must hear the
case before the court hears it. (deals mostly with criminals)
