Caffrey Francis 4-12-10 Music 1100 Concert Report On Thursday, April 8 I attend Kennesaw states Jazz Ensemble. I arrived there twenty minutes early, so I could get a good set. The Jazz Ensemble consisted of two directors. The first Ensemble was directed by Sam Skelton he has had a lot of experience in the music world, from being a sideman on over 175 compact discs to recording with Elton John he is well-versed in any genre of music. He directed five songs that included a Jazz Ensemble of Saxes, Trombones, Trumpets, and Rhythm. During his last two songs Cerulean Sky, and Inner Crisis he had singer Alisa Weilerstein singing. She did a wonderful job. The second ensemble was directed by Wes Funderburk he was more of a serious man than Sam Skelton who had many corny jokes to tell

Wes Funderburk is also a well know artiest he has performed across the United States and Europe, and he is the author of Funderbone.com and the inventor of Blog Songs. He directed six songs that included music from the Saxes, Trombones, Trumpets, Rhythm, and Vocals. Compared to Sam Skelton’s songs Wes Funderburk songs were upbeat and I personally felt the sensation to dance the night away. I am glad I got the opportunity to go to the KSU Jazz Ensemble and when I attend there next Spring I will defiantly go see another one....
