Caffrey Francis What is Philosophy? Dr. George August 27, 2010 A mom takes her six year old child out to Chucke Cheese for some fun and some greasy pizza. While she watches her kid in the play pin, she suddenly notices him punch another kid in the nose. She automatically springs up drags her child out of the play pin and spanks his butt. Thinking is the key component of human nature because it forms our society. When the mom saw her kid act violently towards another kid, she responded in a predictable manner. Without thinking, as the key component of human nature the mom who spanked her son’s butt would instead let him continue punching the other kid. Therefore, her child would continue that violent behavior because he was not reprimanded for his bad actions. Parents unconsciously teach their children how to act and to behave in the world. Without parents guiding their children on society’s social boundaries, we would not have any social boundaries. The absent of social boundaries would create an increase of misunderstandings and
