Unformatted text preview: Chapters 1,2,4,5,6 & 8 Review Guidelines for Final 1. The final will be broken into four sections: short answer; Ch.1 & Ch. 2; Ch.4 & Ch. 5; and Ch.6 & Ch. 8. You may have a single page (front and back) of the following material: 1. definitions/formulas 2. rules 3. techniques/methods 4. properties but NO examples. You must present your cheat sheet for approval before you begin working on the final. Chapter 1 Solve an algebraic equation or inequality for x , and draw a real number line solution. Use both interval notation and inequality notation. Know how to calculate the mean and median of numerical data. Understand the definition of a function. Identify points that are solutions of a function. Recognize whether a graph or table represents a function or not; the vertical line test. Understand the domain and range; i.e. the domain of a function is the set of numbers that can be plugged into the function and give a corresponding output....
