Unformatted text preview: HOMEWORK INSTRUCTIONS EML 3400/3401 • Attach a cover sheet to each homework assignment indicating the following: Your name Homework assignment Problem set numbers Problems completed Example: John Smith Homework Assignment 6 Problems completed: 6.2, 6.4, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8 • In general, make your homework solutions as easy to read as possible. Illegible work is not only difficult to review but also unacceptable in the professional world into which many of you will soon be entering. Write only on the front side of the page and use 8 1/2ʺ x 11ʺ paper. Neatly staple your completed homework solutions with a single staple in the upper left‐hand corner of the page. Submitted homework assignments that are not stapled together will be returned ungraded. Put pages in order of homework problems. For example, do not put Problem 6.7 before Problem 6.4. Put a box around the final solution at the end of each problem. The requirement for full credit is that you correctly complete all the specified problems. Grading will be binary on an individual problem (or sub‐problem for problems with multiple parts) basis. If you submit a problem set that does not follow these instructions, it will be returned to you ungraded. If you wish to resubmit it, you must do so within one week of having it returned, and it will be counted as your one allowable late homework.
