Reaganomics can best be described as “supply-side economics.” This means that “he focused on lowering taxes so that the people had more money to invest in private enterprise (Encyclopedia.com, 2011).” The four pillars of Reaganomics: 1. Reduce government spending 2. Reduce income and capital gains marginal tax rates 3. Reduce government regulations Control the money supply to reduce inflation.

The result was a higher deficit than ever before. 6/13/11 Summary Basically Reagan brought the U.S. out of recession. The high class, white collar workers benefited mostly from Reagans economics.
