Caitlin McGowan April 15, 2011 Disciplinary Sanction Paper Before I came to Quinnipiac University I have faced a lot of personal and emotional challenges. My life has changed drastically in the past year. My mother passed away last summer due to a heart attack. She was a single mother so consequently; I was left to my three aunts. I went from having one parent to three parents. While this was very difficult for me, I stayed on the right path and sustained my ambition to go to college. Before moving into my dorm, I had to move out of the home that I have I have lived in for over ten years. Moving to a new town and into a new home was an extremely big deal to me. I’ve overcome my challenges and realized that change is good and college is a new start! Many believe that a college education secures our future. Students who go to college plan on expanding their knowledge and skills. They learn about themselves by having more freedom and responsibility. That statement was proven correct. With a
