The advantages of JAD are there are many people working on the system, which increases support for the system and the quality of the training process, thereby reducing it (Rainer & Turban, 2009). Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)-"Traditional structured framework, used for large IT projects, that consists of sequential processes by which information systems are developed" (Rainer & Turban, 2009, p. 319, Glossary). The advantages of SDLC are control, accountability, and error detection (Rainer & Turban, 2009). Each of these methodologies has its advantages, however I think that the one that would prove most beneficial to an IT manager would be SDLC simply because the advantages of SDLC outweigh those of the other methodologies (Rainer & Turban, 2009).
