As usual this has been an interesting week; the discussion so far has been insightful. The section of the team assignment that I covered was the section on Amazon's use of e-business and e-commerce for B2B and B2C. I learned a lot about Amazon and being that my husband and I are planning to start an e-business, the information that I learned will prove to be invaluable to me. Our main cause for concern was space for inventory and maintaining shipping and receiving schedules which is all taken care of with Fulfillment by Amazon, which stores, ships and sales your items for you (Amazon.com, Inc., 1996-2010). As far as the reading and my understanding of information technology are concerned,

Unformatted text preview: I think that the most interesting thing that I learned was about enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. I learned that these systems are excellent tools that can help a business to run more efficiently in all aspects and departments. I like that CRM systems are designed in a manner that allows each customer to be treated as the only one and that all that customer's needs are met (Rainer & Turban, 2009).
