Identify online advertising options. According to Rainer and Turban, there are three main types of internet advertising. They are banners, pop-ups and e-mail. Banners are ads that are displayed at the top of web pages. Pop-ups are the banner's annoying cousin, they interrupt the web page you are looking at and zoom off into some annoying cycle of advertisements (thank you pop-up blocker). E- Mails can also be annoying, if they are "spam" type e-mails, but one can also subscribe to services that send advertisements that one is interested What are the advantages and disadvantages of online ads? There are quite a few advantages of online advertising. First, online ads can reach anyone in any part of the world. Next, online ads can be interactive so that one can actually get more information from the ad be clicking on a link or filling out a form.
