Iran Williams Checkpoint: Staff and Administration May 22, 2011 Team work is a lovely word. It means the world when it comes to the health care field. Medical and clinical staffs, such as physicians and nurses, have roles and responsibilities different from those of a hospital administrator, such as the presidents, directors and managers. Duties of a Registered Nurse in a hospital or nursing home entail many things. Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for a wide variety of care provided to patients. Not only are they responsible for taking care of the patients but they must delegate to CNAs and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). ( www.registerednursern.com ) Licensed Practical Nurses are also called Licensed Vocational Nurses in some states. One of two essential responsibilities of a Registered Nurse is being a Caregiver or Care Provider.
