2 Our networks today use cables to interconnect to many various devices. Under different signaling techniques, the network cables carry the information along paths allowing devices to communicate with each other. The cable characteristics which are taken into consideration when deciding which cable type will perform the greatest job in our network. Bandwidth Rating, Maximum segment length, Maximum number of devices per segment, Interference susceptibility, Connection hardware, Bend radius, and cable grade are all factors when deciding what kind of cable to use for a modern scalable network. T1 lines are perhaps the best aside from using fiber, but fiber may be overkill for the price if the company is not using nearly enough bandwidth to justify more than a few strands of optics. The Cisco 2811 Integrated Services Router is part of the Cisco 2800 Integrated Services. The Cisco 2811 Integrated Services Router provides the following support: Wire-speed performance for concurrent services such as security and voice , and advanced services to multiple T1/E1/xDSL WAN rates Enhanced investment protection through increased performance and modularity Increased density through High-Speed WAN Interface Card Slots (four)
