You have been charged with staffing a new unit in a hospital devoted to Alzheimer patients. What criteria would you look for in hiring new staff? If I was in charge of a new unit that was devoted to Alzheimer patients and had to hire a new staff, the type of people I would be looking for would have to be first and for most a person who has a background working with the elderly. They would also have to have some sort of medical certification. Someone who is a medical assistant would be fine. They just have to have the background with working with

It would also be nice for someone to have some sort of background with working with people who have learning disabilities. I want my staff to know how to talk to Alzheimer patients. And I feel that the way that you talk to people with learning disabilities would be the same way that you would talk to patients with Alzheimer’s. The staff would also have to be people who have patients and are kind hearted people....
