Why is it important for an administrator to understand the regulations and statutes that apply to health care? The reason why it is so important for administrators to know and understand the regulations and statutes that apply to health care is for a major reason is that they are in charge of so many people including workers and patients. If they do not follow the regulations or not tell the medical personal the right thing to do, they are held responsible. It is to protect the workers and patients. It is to also protect patients personal rights and confidentially. Administrators have to set forth and obey the laws and regulations that are to help set the standards of practice in the health care

Also, the administrator must have just knowledge of the laws and regulations and statues so that they can properly make appropriate decisions and actions that do not go against the laws and protect the organization. They need what information can be disclosed and cannot be disclosed. By the administrator understanding the regulations and statutes, they will be able to educate their staff correctly so that the staff will know the proper procedures and being able to develop policies for the organization.
