What is an information system? How does it work? What are its people, organizational, and technological components? List and describe the people, organizational, and technological components. Information systems can be defined technically as a compilation of interconnected components that retrieve, process, store, and distribute information. There is a three step process input; that is gathered information, then processing that is reviewed by individuals, and finally output; is the examination of something in detail in order to understand it better or draw conclusions from it. Variety of different people, from the novice user to the advanced user, I would say everyone that finds the need for more information to make a graduated decision upon what type of answer they are looking for. Generally speaking the people are trained in the field they are working in otherwise the business system would crash without trained people.
