James Vu Partner: Khanh Vy Tran Experiment: Use of the Oscilloscope Objective: Learn how to use the oscilloscope to do various tasks such as measuring sound waves, looking at sine waves, and examining lissajous figures. Notes: δT = δ#T Div * T/Div, T = # T av * T/Div, δV 0 = δ#V Div * V/Div /2, V pp = #V Div * V/Div Procedures: Part1: Using the oscilloscope connected to a frequency generator measure the period and the amplitude of sine waves with the following frequencies, 50, 150, 500, 2k, 10k, 30k. With the measured values of the period calculate the uncertainty of the time period and frequency. Part3: Using the oscilloscope set on X-Y EXT HOR mode examine and record Lissjous Figures. Using a frequency of 30 – 240 draw the figures that were displayed in the oscilloscope. Part2: Connect a microphone to the oscilloscope and measure the frequency of a tuning fork. Data Input:
