WILLS, TRUSTS, AND ELDER LAW Chapter 52 Wills, Trust, and Elder was an interesting chapter. It helped me understand the importance of why people utilize Wills, and Trust. Prior to reading chapter 52, I never thought it was worth the time and money to establish a will or trust because I always thought they were for people a lot wealthier than me. What I discovered is that a will or trust will usually stop family disputes by outlining who gets your things, which includes your children. A Will is also a good way to protect your children under the age of 18 because you can appoint a person a there legal guardian. Chapter 52 Wills, Trusts, and Elder Law outlined five objectives. 1. List and describe the requirements for making a valid will

Define trust and living trust and Identify the parties to a trust. 5. Describe living wills and health care directives. My summary will summarize each objective, painting a clear understanding of each objective. Objective one was to describe the requirements for making a valid will.
