After reading case 6.1 the breast implant controversy, I believe that it proves that society is more concerned about image and superficial things rather than safety. Many people are willing to sacrifice safety because of looks. I also believe that manufactures should be legally responsible for any problems that a consumer may have with a product they produce.

If a product is found unsafe, then they should force the manufacturers to take it off the shelf. However, the FDA obviously can’t protect those consumers that understand the risk and still decide to use the product. c...
