Abraham Lincoln He was the 16 th  president of the United States, who wanted reconstruction  to bring the South back into the Union in a peaceful and forgiving manner. SENTENCE My family was so happy when they found out that Abraham Lincoln was  the 16 th  president of the United States.   ADAPTAIONS Changes people made in their lives and technology in order to  survive SENTENCE When I moved to Ohio from Virginia, I had to make some  adaptations to get used to. 1

SENTENCE My dad said that he remembered when Chief Joseph said “I will no longer  fight.” DRY FARMING A method used to farm low rainfall areas of the Great Plains. SENTENCE In the late 1866, people used a method called Dry Farming to farm low  rainfall areas. E-F 3
