A common perceptual, neurological, cognitive issue is Dementia. According to (Dementia.org, 2020) Dementia is a disease that causes severe damage to the brain. This is an irreversible condition that causes physical and mental weakening that can strain relationships and damage the memories that we have with our friends and families. Dementia is common in older adults, however it can happen at any age in which case it may be alluded as early onset dementia. Dementia is not a usual part of aging and should not be confused with age-related cognitive decline.
