Evett Jackson ETH/125 2 June 2011 Capstone CheckPoint I’ve learned a lot of information in this class and there is no specific race or ethnic group that I can relate to but I do have a better understanding of not just one particular race but a majority of them. I never knew that so many different races and ethnic groups existed, not just here in the United States, but around the world. I did not learn anything new about my own cultural history which happens to be African American. Reading the material and actually studying and writing about the different cultures that live here in the United States was a very good experience and it gave me more insight and knowledge on how other races and ethnic groups arrived here in the United States as well as some of the reasons that they chose to come here and make this country their home. The population here is constantly increasing but not with the black and white race but other races and ethnic groups. By the year 2050, the United States will no longer be controlled
