Introduction: Today’s laboratory experiment consisted in learning studying and learning  the basics concepts of an RC circuit. We assembled an RC circuit in which we could  charge and discharge a capacitor. Then using Data Studio, we graphed the time it took  for the capacitor to charged up. With this graph we were able to measure the time  constant and the half time of the capacitor by looking at the time the capacitor was either  63.3% or 50% charged. We used different values for resistors and the different values  for the voltage. With our data collected we were able to analysis the relationships

Conclusion: In this experiment I learned about how a capacitor can be charged and discharged. Although we committed some computer mistakes in this experiment, and our results we not able to accurately demonstrate the relationship between the values we were targeting, I was still able to understand better the relationship between resistance, voltage, capacitance, and time. I was able to comprehend the formulas for time constant, half life, and charge depending on time. And lastly, I learned how I could find all the values mentioned above by experimental methods.
