Introduction: Today’s laboratory experiment consisted in introducing the concept of  reflection, which occurs when a ray of light bounces off a surface when it strikes. In this  experiment we used concave, convex, and flat surfaces to try to prove the Law of  Reflection, which is that the reflecting ray of light will always have the same angle of  inclination as the incoming ray, measured from the normal of the surface. Another  aspect we studied was the focal length. We used concave and convex mirrors and  measured their focal length experimentally and theoretically. The last subject we studied  was the magnification and image orientation of mirrors. We projected an image against a

Conclusion: In this experiment I learned how rays of light behave differently when they strike flat, concave, and convex surfaces. In the first part of the experiment I was able to prove the Law of Reflection by calculating the percent difference between the angle of incidence and my measured angle of reflection. In the second part of the experiment I learned how to experimentally measure a focal length and I was able to prove right the theoretical focal length equations. In the last part of the experiment I saw how an image can be inverted and how it can me magnified. I was also able to prove right the magnification equations....
