A woman known by the name Hildagard used lavender with lukewarm water and honey for relief of pain in the liver and lungs; essential oils were one of the first approaches to pain relief. Today, people may use lavender as a stress reliever. One may use lavender by rubbing it on the body directly, utilizing it in the bath, or simply just by breathing in the oils. The lavender oil can enhance the airway of a person affected by asthma. Using essential oils for health improvement can be more affordable and possibly be more effective then over the counter medication to treat allergies and asthma. People tend to rely on over the counter medication to help with allergies and asthma but it is not the healthiest choice. For example, Benadrly is often taken for allergies, but one of the defaults is memory loss if abused. These medications may have major side effects such as sore throat, headaches, fever, memory loss, and more. Pointing out in a study it states,” Supplementary reports stated that 1 in 10 patients experience medication-related harm, comparably involving a documented known allergy status” (Mortell, Manfred 1 ). This can lead to a life long effect on the body, and people still continue to rely on these man made medications that are not beneficial for everyday use.
